Course:
We are working on the best possible course for 2020. New trails have been added to the Royal Gorge Park system, and we're determined to give you the most bang for your buck in terms of flow, tech, and incredible views. Stay tuned!

Private Aid:
Your race supporters are invited to provide private aid for you at any or all of our aid stations.  Each of the aid stations will be reasonably accessible during the race by car and a short walk. Please see the Course Maps for locations (marked by a star).

Start:
The mountain bike races will start with a very short neutral rolling start.  The racing will begin almost immediately.  You are invited to warm up accordingly on the course prior to the race.  The clock will start for everyone at the same time, when the neutral rolling start begins.  The finish will be chip timed.

Communications and Volunteers:
Race course communications are being provided by the local Amateur Radio Emergency Services Club.  Everyone involved with the production of these events is a volunteer.  Please be nice to them.

Spectator Information:
Friends and family are welcome to join in on the fun! Our host, the Royal Gorge Ranch & Resort, will have plenty of space at the start / finish line for spectators to set up tents, chairs, and blankets. For information on how to view racers on the course, please see the course map here, where spectator-friendly locations are marked with a star. Come ready to support racers, participate in an event, and enjoy the post-race festivities. There is NO COST to attend the post-race festivities.

Weather:
The Royal Gorge Region generally has mild temperatures in mid-September. We're hoping for great weather, but suggest that you pack for all types of "Colorado" weather.

Kid's Activities:
We have twp kid-friendly races scheduled. There are two kids' mountain bike races (about .5 miles each) Registration for these FREE events will be at the event and will require a parent / guardian signature.

Food and Beer:
Both will be available for sale. We are proud to have Fire It Up! Wood Fired Pizza with us.
